Victoria, Empress, Silver Medal, Obv: Portrait of Victoria wearing a veil and a coronet (small crown) with date 1st January 1877, Rev: Empress of India and Kaiser-i-Hind, in English, Urdu and Devnagiri (MYB 292). Toned, about uncirculated, rare. Issued to celebrate the proclamation of Victoria as Empress of India on 1st January 1877. Indian civilians and selected officers of the various British and Indian regiments serving in India at the time were awarded the silver medal.
