Post Mauryan, Marathwada/South Vidarbha region, Kukutakhada, Copper die-struck, 3.08g, “Elephant” type, Obv: Elephant with trunk raised walking to right, wavy line with fish below; Brahmi legend “…Kutapada…” above. A countermark of tree-in-railing symbol in a rectangular incuse applied on the elephant, Rev: Bold Nandipada and circle to left, partly obliterated by the countermark on obverse. Very fine for type, very rare.
