Indo Greek, Menander I, Silver Drachma, 2.42g, Obv: Diademed bust of king, Greek legend in continuous circle “BASILEOS SOTEROS MENANDROU”, Rev: Athena Alkidemos hurling thunderbolt to left, Kharosthi legend “Maharajasa Tratarasa…” around and monogram to the right (BN series 2). Very fine+, rare. Coins with continuous Greek legend are much rarer than other types of Menander where the legend is usually split into two directions along the margin.
