Indo Greek, Menander I, Silver Drachma, 2.35g, Obv: Diademed bust of king hurling javelin to left, Greek legend in continuous circle “BASILEOS SOTEROS MENANDROU”, Rev: Athena Alkidemos hurling thunderbolt to right, Kharoshthi legend in continuous circle “Maharajasa Tratarasa Menandrasa” around and monogram to the left (BN serie 6C). Fine+, rare. Coins with continuous Greek and Kharoshthi legends are much rarer than other types of Menander where the legends are usually split into two directions along the margin.
