Guptas, Skandagupta, Gold Dinar, 9.23g, “Archer” type, Obv: Nimbate figure of standing king, holding strung bow in right and an arrow in the left. Garuda standard, with ribbons attached to the staff in the background, Brahmi legend “Parahitakara...” to the right, Rev: Nimbate Godess Lakshmi seated cross legged on bloom lotus, holding lotus flower in one hand and a noose in the other, Tamgha in the left field and Brahmi legend “Kramadityah” to right. Extremely fine, very rare.
