Maharashtra / Khandesh region, Uninscribed, Alloyed Copper, 0.79g, “Vishnukundin- Bull” type, Obv: Bull walking to right, Sankha shell above, Rev: Sankha shell placed on a pedestal between two lamp posts, within a circle. Very fine, rare.It is unusual to find a fraction of this denomination in the series of the ‘Vishnukundin’-type coins from North Maharashtra. They are attributed to local dynasties, including Sendrakas and Rashtrakutas.
