Bharpur Singh, Silver Rupee, 10.86g, “Guru Gobindshahi” couplet, VS 1907 (CE 1850), Nabh Kamal Mint. Very fine, very rare. These coins were not meant for circulation but were more like Nazrana issues. Owing to the Gobindshahi couplet these issues are accepted as Sikh issues. Mint name on this coin can be read as Nabh Kamal. The mint was earlier erroneously read as “Nabha Laal” till it was correctly read as “Nabh Kamal” in an article authored by Gurprit Singh in the Journal of IIRNS (Indian Institute of Research in Numismatric Studies).
