Satavahanas, Siri Satakani, South-Central Maharashtra, Square Copper, 2.19g, Obv: Three arched hill with crescent in the centre, wavy line below, Brahmi legend reading counter-clockwise outwards “Raño Siri…” around, Rev: ‘Ujjain’ symbol. Very fine, very rare. Although the legend on this coin is ‘Siri Satakani’, the typology and the stylistics indicate that it must have been issued by Gotamiputa Siri Satakani in the late 1st century AD.
