Satavahanas, Newase-Paithan region, Satakani I, Alloyed Copper, 20.22g, “Elephant” type, Obv: Elephant walking to right with trunk upraised, modified Ujjaini symbol on its back and Brahmi legend Raño Siri Satakanisa above, Rev: Tree with prominent leaves and branches in a railing, partly visible (Similar to MIGIS-9, type 1309). Very fine for type, very rare. The weight of the coin is very high for the type. In all likelihood, it represents a double unit of the usual denomination.
