Satavahanas, Siri Satakani, Potin, 1.81g, “Junnar Lion” type, Obv: Maned Lion facing left, standing over an arched hill and a curvy line, Brahmi legend “…Siri Satakanisa” above, Rev: Ujjaini symbol in a dotted rectangular border. Very fine+, very rare. Coins with a dotted border enclosing the Ujjaini symbol in the Junnar ‘lion’-type series are very rare. Most likely they constitute the earliest issues of this type.
