Satavahanas, Vidarbha region, Siri Satakani (c.100-50BC), Alloyed Copper, 15.13g, “Elephant” type, Obv: Elephant with raised trunk walking to right, wavy line below, Swastika above and an inverted Nandipada in the front, a tree with characteristic bifurcated leaves in a railing to its right, Rev: Ornate Ujjain symbol, Brahmi legend clockwise “…ri Satakani…” around. Very fine, extremely rare.
