Nolambas of South, Central Karnataka, possibly attributed to Nanni Nolamba or “Polalachora’”, Gold Punch Marked Gadyana, 3.74g, Uniface, Obv: Nine punches – 5 x Nandi seated facing right, 2 x Kannada letter ‘Shri’, 1 x Kannada letters “Pa La…” (engraved retrograde), 1 x Ankusha and weapon symbols. Extremely fine, extremely rare. The Nolambas were a minor dynasty of medieval Karnataka. They flourished under Rashtrakuta tutelage.
