Punch Marked, Attributed to Magadha Janapada, Silver 1/2 Shatamana? - Vimshatika, 5.39g, “Series 0”, Uniface, Bold six-armed symbol punched in the centre; small symbols around on obverse (Similar to Rajgor series 9). Extremely fine, extremely rare. Coins weighing around 5.5 gm and classified as ‘1/2 Shatamana’ standard are perhaps the earliest coins of the Magadha series. They later evolve into Vimshatikas of four-punched mark type and Karshapanas of ‘series 0’.
