
Gupta, Chandra Gupta II, Gold Dinar, 7.77g, “Lion-slayer-Lion-trampler” type, Obv: Nimbate king, standing with one leg flexed, holding strung bow and striking arrow at a lion to left, while trampling on it, Brahmi legend “(Nare)ndra(cha)ndra (P)ra…” in exergue, Rev: Goddess seated on lion with one leg folded mid-knee, holding lotus in one hand and a noose in the other; Brahmi legend “Sinhavikramah” right and a Tamgha in left field (Altekar Class II, var.
